Speech, Language & Communication Support.

Fun Development offer home based speech, language & communication support for pre-school children, helping to develop communication and social skills in young children with fun, play-based sessions. Our private, one to one speech, language & communication sessions help children with their early interaction, attention and listening skills, as well as being able to express themselves to communicate with parents, teachers and other children. We find that this makes for happier children who understand and enjoy the benefits of communicating and engaging with others.

Our speech, language & communication sessions can help with:

- Building confidence in communicating for early years children
- Encouraging children to express their needs 
- Motivating young children to practice their speech, language & communication targets

- Improving speech and pronunciation for nursery age and pre-school children

What do our children's speech, language and communication sessions look like?
Based in your own home, our one to one play-based speech, language & communication sessions are designed especially for your child to encourage and motivate their communication.
We encourage parents to be involved in the sessions, helping to learn new skills that can be used between the sessions to further promote your child's speech, language & communication development.

Working in partnership with parents, teachers and Speech and Language Therapists.
At Fun Development we work alongside NHS and Private Speech and Language Therapists in order to help implement your child's SALT targets at home. We can also work in nurseries and schools to help children generalise their communication skills into a different environment. Please see our in-school support for more information. We also offer advice and support to parents to help them get the services and support they need from schools and local authority agencies.

Helping all children with speech, language & communication.
We work with a wide range of children and treat all children as individuals with their own unique personalities, likes and motivations. We are proud to have helped many children and welcome referrals from children with specific needs such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Down's Syndrome.

What age can children start our speech, language & communication sessions?
We generally start working with children in their pre-school or nursery year, but we have worked successfully with children as young as 2 years old. We can continue to support children's speech, language & communication during their first years at primary school, and beyond if needed.

Where do we provide our speech, language & communication sessions?
We provide our sessions in your own home within Warwickshire, Solihull and the surrounding areas including Solihull, Shirley, Knowle, Dorridge, Balsall Common, Warwick, Leamington, Kenilworth and Stratford. We will also consider supporting families who are further afield via remote support and less frequent visits where applicable. Please contact us if you are unsure whether we cover your area.
